Why do you want to join this camp?

Learning and teaching English has always been my passion. It is definitely a wonderful opportunity for me to interact with the participants and I will do my best to deliver myself and facilitate all activities. Have fun!

Hi, nice to meet you all. My name is Tyng, a senior student from the English Department at National Taiwan Normal University. In my college life, I major in English and also minor in history. Interested in cultural studies and learning outside schools, I have participated in an incredible number of camps. Camps offer people like me a wonderful chance to learn something I have never learned at school. Besides, in my free time, I like to go traveling, exploring different cultures around the island and the world. In the future, I hope I can be an English teacher in a high school, telling my students how interesting it is to study English with ease.

Why do you want to join this camp?

It is really my pleasure to participate in this camp as one of the organizers. I sincerely hope that after this camp, you will learn something you never know at school and make friends with people from other schools. Just have fun and learn something!

I’m an easy-going person though my appearance may not look so. Interacting with people is pretty interesting so I love it very much. I am good at playing basketball and the piano, and dealing with trivial things.

Why do you want to join this camp?
I love to work with people to get different ideas. Different camps with different teammates bring me different experiences. This will be the last camp in my college life, so I want to get as much as I can. I believe I will be inspired by both my teammates and the participants.

Hello every one, I am Elma, a junior student from NTNU English department. I come from Kaohsiung and my interests are mountain-climbing, jazz music and dancing. I have participated in many kinds of camps and extra activities during my school days. For me, joining English camps can not only provide us a good way to sharpen our English ability within a short time but is also a best way to make friends. I am really looking forward that we can meet in this camp!

Why do you want to join this camp?

I like to interact with all kind of people, that’s why I join this camp. For me, having the chance to be around by people with different backgrounds is a wonderful thing. Also, I believe through joining this camp, I can have a profound understanding of how to teach English.

Hi, I’m Rita, a senior in the department of English in NTNU. I’m friendly, easygoing, and energetic. Actually, I always feel excited while interacting with different kinds of people, which include people in various ages and countries.
This summer I joined an international camp which was held for ABC or CBC. I love the experience of being a counselor in that camp, since I love the feeling of putting English into practice, especially into my daily life. Thus, I’m looking forward to conducting English Elite camp in English. It must be fun!

Why do you want to join this camp?

The reason why I want to join this camp is not because this camp is easy, but because it is challenging. This is my first time to get along with so many excellent senior high students. However, I believe that I will learn a lot from them.

I am an enthusiastic, friendly and hardworking person. My dream is to become an English teacher. During my college life, I am very lucky to take part in lots of activities. It is really exciting to apply what I have learned in the education courses to my tutoring jobs and voluntary work in English camps. These teaching experiences make me surer about what I want. Now I am planning to study abroad for further studies on TESOL and I hope I can realize my dream one day.

Why do you want to join this camp?

I really enjoy teaching English. Before, I have participated in two English camps. In the camps, I learned how to collaborate with my partners in designing English courses, like Phonics, and Conversation. It was very challenging and exciting. I also like to interact with students and care for them. Meeting people from different places is very interesting. To gain experience in the interaction with high school students, I decided to join this camp!

I am a student in the English Department at NTNU. My hometown is in a small village near Taiwan Strait in Taichung. The natural environment makes me an outgoing risk-taker. In addition, as the oldest child in my family, I think I am responsible and considerate. My dream is to attend different activities in the college so I can have a fantastic life. I believe that I can learn a lot from this camp.

Why do you want to join this camp?

I enjoy interacting with children and teenagers. Since I was a freshman, I’ve taken part in a lot of children’s camps as a counselor, an activity and course designer. However, it’s pity for me that I have never been a counselor in a camp for high school students. That’s the main reason why I want to join the camp. I’d like to have some challenge. It must be very different from a children’s camp. Also, I want to have some good and special memory for my college life. I will do my best as a counselor in this camp.

I have been the counselors of different kinds of campers, like those for elementary school students, high school students, college students, foreign students and band directors. It’s been a long time since I last joined a camp for senior high school students. I am looking forward to meet all the creative thoughts that they will bring. Hope every one in this camp will enjoy your time!

I would like to join this camp because I’ve had plenty of experience interacting and guiding students in English, thus I feel that I can not only handle this task but also do a good job at it. It’s an opportunity to know more about senior high school students’ learning process in English. Furthermore, I will learn how to get along with senior high students and help them in English. Hi, everyone, my name is Frankie and I am a junior in the English department of National Taiwan Normal University.
Being optimistic toward my life, I always take Helen Keller’s proverb “Face the bright side and you will never see the shadow” as my motto. Moreover, I do believe
life itself is a continuous adventure, so I am willing to try anything interesting , including this camp.
To be frank, learning English is just to acquire a tool; however, after mastering this language, you will surprisingly discover you have opened another window toward your life, since you have armed one of the most powerful equipment to contact with the world and approach another culture. It might be tiresome and time-consuming when you attempt to learn English, nevertheless, when you start to use English as a key to open the door to the world, you will finally detect everything is worthy.

Why do you want to join this camp?

Hopefully, I can assist more students to perceive the beauty of English and share my experience in learning English with the students. Moreover, I appreciate the bliss of holding a camp. I also held some similar camps before, and I trust, this camp will also be very joyful for me.

I enjoy exchanging ideas with others through different languages. For me, learning a language is like learning a different way of thinking.
